The CODA Conference is the Alberta Band Association's professional development conference for early career band teachers and music education students. Aimed at teachers in their first five years of the profession and students about to enter the field of band education, the CODA Conference will energize, inspire and affirm your abilities as a teacher. - Learn how to motivate students through reinforcement of fundamentals
- Create systems for student learning and classroom management
- Learn about using repertoire to teach music through performance
- Create your own plan for professional development to make your teaching career the best that it can be!
The cost to participate is $100 and includes
- Four sessions with Wendy McCallum, a demonstration lab, and a panel discussion with the seasoned professionals of the Alberta Band Association Board of Directors
- Lunch
- An Associate membership with the Alberta Band Association which allows you to attend to Music Conference Alberta in October.
- An opportunity to network with colleagues and mentors in band education.
